GPS Simulator — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

GPS Simulator ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Android application.

2. Information We Collect

Location Data

• GPS coordinates: The App accesses your device's GPS to record routes and provide mock location functionality. Location data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers.
• Recorded traces: When you record a route, the GPS points are saved in a local database on your device. You have full control to view, export, or delete these recordings at any time.

Device Information

• We do not collect device identifiers, hardware model, or operating system information during normal use.
• Crash reports: If the App crashes, a report may be generated containing your device model, Android version, app version, and a technical error log. This report is only sent if you choose to send it via the on-screen prompt. Crash reports do not include GPS coordinates or location data.

Purchase Information

• In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely through the Google Play Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. Google's privacy policy governs the handling of payment data.

3. Advertising

The free version of GPS Simulator displays advertisements provided by third-party ad networks (e.g., Google AdMob). These ad providers may collect certain information to serve personalized ads, including:

• Advertising identifiers
• General location (IP-based, not GPS)
• Device type and operating system version

You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device's Settings → Google → Ads. Upgrading to any paid plan removes all advertisements.

4. How We Use Your Information

• Route recording & playback: Location data is used solely to provide the core functionality of recording and playing back GPS routes.
• Mock location spoofing: GPS coordinates are used to set mock locations on your device as directed by you.
• Favorites: Saved favorite locations are stored locally on your device.

5. Data Storage & Security

• All user data (recordings, favorites, settings) is stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database.
• We do not operate any servers that receive, store, or process your personal data.
• Data is protected by your device's built-in security (lock screen, encryption).

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• Ad networks: As described in Section 3, ad providers in the free version may collect limited data for ad serving purposes.
• Road snapping service: If you use the road-snapping feature, anonymized GPS coordinates may be sent to a mapping API (e.g., Mapbox) to align your route to roads. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.
• Crash reports: If you opt to send a crash report, it is transmitted via your device's email client to our development team. No data is sent without your explicit action.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal processes.

7. Your Rights & Controls

• Delete recordings: You can delete any recorded trace from the Playback screen at any time.
• Delete favorites: You can remove saved locations from the Favorites screen.
• Uninstall: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data from your device.
• Disable ads: Upgrade to the No Ads plan or higher to remove all advertising.
• Location permissions: You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device's Settings. Note that the App requires location access to function properly.

8. Children's Privacy

GPS Simulator is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App and on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
